Every spread is a pair: an image page whose rings and spokes run off the edge in every direction, and a narrative page for the words. You are not just writing and not just drawing. You are doing both at once, and the spread holds them together.
Tem has been making these journals by hand since 2016, folding letter-size sheets into booklets. This Gravity-Press Edition is the same idea, designed in LayerPress and printed one copy at a time.
I like to have a notebook around, because at any moment, I may think of something I want to hold onto.
